As of last Friday, the 4th of December 130 banks have closed. I wonder what the year will bring?

Uganda Attacking Homosexuality

Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Bill introduced in October is being debated and Lawmakers indicated they will PASS this bill by years end.

Here are some "highlights" of this disturbing Human Rights Violation.

• Gays and lesbians convicted of having gay sex would be sentenced, at minimum, to life in prison

• People who test positive for HIV may be executed

• The bill forbids the "promotion of homosexuality," which in effect bans organizations working in HIV and AIDS prevention

• Anyone who knows of homosexual activity taking place but does not report it would risk up to three years in prison

Term Limits

Wow, here is something I am hearing from all age groups. Term limits, especially the over 55 crowd, um remember them, they are moms and dads and grandparents now...the moderate conservatives...! This is nothing new to the 35-50's group. Oh and the last vote for Obama covered the "age-of-awakening" group, the 20 something voter group.

Now imagine if there were term limits?

50 Senators would only be able to be in the senate for 12 years. So they will only have tax payer health insurance for 12 years, tax payer gyms, reduced pricing in taxpayer cafeterias, tax payer second homes, travel expenses....tax payer, tax payer, tax payer...oh the list goes on and on...oh I can not forget...an INCREASE in their base pay along with increases for staff during the "Greatest Recession" of our time. And as of this posting our unemployment rate is over 10%.

And what about the House of Reps?....the same goes for them. Term Limits!

Oh and the lobbyists, imagine how much money they would have to spend every so many years, knowing..."no one" is a sure thing! Lobbyists..that's another blog posting...lol...

Too many in Washington have the power to do as they please....not what American citizens deserve.

So I have to, um hummm....give credit where credit is due....to Sen Jim DeMint, R-SC for proposing an amendment to the constitution on term limits.

It's time for change America, no Rep. or Senator should be amassing their wealth and power for personal use.

As Americans lets make sure our elected Officails on ANY level know they are replaceable with TERM LIMITS!

I thought I should share with my viewers a bit about me. Although I am a private person and love the idea to chat about politics and life, blogging is a great medium for me to express my thoughts. And I am dedicating this page to music to enlighten you,,,,about me..., with comments....hehehe!

We can listen to any phone conversation World-wide.

But yet, we can not keep our assets safe on the open seas?

...I wonder who the insurance under-writer is? AIG perhaps?

Who is making a profit on this? Someone is, other than the pirates. Is the income stabilizing the Somali nation, by creating disposable income? Is this business as usual for the World?

Make no mistake, life is precious. It is time for consequences.

Anyone or any Nation that does not treat individuals with respect and kindness should be accountable to International Law, and better yet, accountable to their own people.

...with a consequence for their actions.

Sink the ships, hoodlums are hoodlums! Lets see who can swim.

But make sure, as a people of the world, that we are there to save them.

Expanded Hate Crimes Bill Signed into Law

Kudos to President Obama for signing the Bill to expand Hate Crimes! And to all those that worked so hard over the years to make this happen.

Imagine..... It's 2009 and We, as in "We the People," have a president that understands we are ALL created equal and had the "balls" to stand up to the HATERS! I believe President Lyndon Johnson signed the first Hate Crimes legislation in 1967 after the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Hate Crime Legislation

"Such hate crimes, committed solely because the victims have a different skin color or a different faith or are gays or lesbians, leave deep scars not only on the victims but on our larger community. They are acts of violence against America itself." -President Bill Clinton in his weekly radio address, June 7,1997

"More than 77,000 hate-crime incidents were reported by the FBI between 1998 and 2007, or nearly one hate crime for every hour of every day over the span of a decade. The FBI reported 7,624 hate-crime incidents in 2007." -Mr Holder to the Senate Judiciary Committee in June

On October 27, 2009 the Senate passed legislation that would make it a federal crime to assault an individual because of his or her sexual orientation or gender identity. This is being added to the Hate Crimes Bill already on the books.

President Obama has pledged to sign the measure.

President George W. Bush threatened to veto a similar measure. There is no surprise there. George W. <"you can call me George, cause I can't spell W-ya"> had the opportunity as the leader of a great nation to stop HATE. He didn't, shame on you!

My heart goes out to the families of Matthew Shepard, a gay Wyoming teenager who died after being kidnapped and severely beaten, tied to a split-rail fence and left to die over night, 18 hours later he was found.

..and to the family of James Byrd, Jr., a man of color, of Jasper ,Texas. Three men beat Byrd, strip him naked, chain him by the ankles to their pickup truck and dragged him for three miles over rural roads.

For all of those in the House and Senate that voted against this measure, I do hope all the Grandparents, Mom and Dads', Sisters and Brothers, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Friends remember this at the voting booths.
